  1. Standing Ovation? They should be booed off the field. The last few weeks is unacceptable.
  2. Anybody want to mention that this team hasn't quit? They look like they're rushing to get to the off-season. The Twins dropped the last 2 games and the Sox can't beat a bad Mariner team.
  3. What a joke of a team. Completely choke when it matters.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 02:10 AM) Any thoughts on the Sox trying to trade for ARod this offseason, and make him a SS? Give the Yanks Garcia and Fields, and hope they throw some money into the deal? Yeah, that's what this team needs...another homerun hitter.
  5. QUOTE(Winning Ugly @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 04:00 AM) Really. MLB.TV did not have the game on either. Total BS that WCIU is. I can't stand WCIU. I wish the Sox would get out their contract with them.
  6. QUOTE(chisoxt @ Aug 8, 2006 -> 02:13 AM) They say that baseball is a game of adjustments and this guy refuses to make them. I rememebr that this was the downfall of Jerry manuel...that guy never made an adjustement to save his life. Yea sure, leaving starters in the game to pitch out of jams worked last year, but guess what? This is another year and that same approach is not working this year. Pin this and several other losses on Ozzie. I haven't been very critical of Ozzie, but leaving Mark out there after runners got on was a huge mistake. He had been hanging pitches all night. It made no sense to keep him out there.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 8, 2006 -> 01:04 AM) He left him in to face Figgins to keep him hitting right handed. I don't care what side of the plate Figgins is on. Mark was done, and you have to realize that.
  8. QUOTE(champ @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 03:23 AM) Elbow discomfort. Apparantly, nothing to be concerned about. Twins better hope that "nothing to be concerned about" doesn't mean what it means over in Cubbie land. Is Liriano still pitching tomorrow?
  9. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 03:14 AM) he'll need some after his last outting Yeah, he gave up 1 solid hit. He looked terrible.
  10. Red Sox? How about the White Sox teams before we got Pods?
  11. I was just thinking tonight, isn't this the exact kind of team we moved away from in 2005? We currently have a team that can only move 1 base at a time and scores most of its runs through HRs. I thought we proved that you can't win a championship this way. Apparently we wanted to try again just to make sure.
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) Just caught the end of the report so don't know any details. Just said we are VERY close to getting Soriano. Anyone else catch it? What if the White Sox planted the rumors to drive up the price and either force Detroit to give up more or eliminate them from the Soriano race.
  13. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) His future is about as guaranteed as McDougals. How long until he's on the DL again? I have to admit, I'm very upset with Williams right now. Our already thin system has traded its best starting pitcher. If McCarthy is traded I'll be even more angry. That's unless we're unloading Soriano to a ballclub with a pitching prospect comparable to McCarthy. I want to know if we're actually intent on developing a minor league system? Using it as bargaining chips is great and all, but having some pitchers available to replace our current rotation would have been nice as well. WIN NOW! Why does everyone look so far into the future? You can always trade for arms later. Right now, you need to focus on winning a back to back World Series in 2006.
  14. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) :headshake Take a look here. :headshake I already saw that one. That's all the entire board has to offer?
