  1. Normally, public funding for a stadium district wouldn’t bring in the benefits to match the cost, even in the long term. This is a unique case, though. The city is trying to manufacture a new neighborhood, a huge plot of land that is only losing the city money at this point. There is so much more to the deal than we know about, and I doubt Jerry and the developer would be confident going to the state without some back room approval from the city. And if it’s simply the first offer in public negotiations, it’s not that bad of a starting point

Correct. My six sources for that story had a lot to say and a lot of it has proven to be right on the money.

You deserve your flowers for that read up. Some have hated on you today when all you’ve been is proven right.

Wasn’t this a part of your off-season article lip man? A lot of that stuff has come out to be true. Like the fractured clubhouse

I know I’m extremely pessimistic, but where’s the hope for the franchise?  Big league team sucks, farm system is awful and a huge payroll deduction is on the way.  Outside of the Rockies, Royals and A’s, the Sox have to have the worst looking future for the next 3-4 years

There is no hope and this isn’t pessimistic, this is realistic. I maintain that this is the worst spot the franchise has been in, in its history. Black sox scandal was bad but at least they had fucking fans back then. Jerry reinsdorf and his New York cronies have completely tanked the Sox since they’ve been in charge. Hell even 20 years ago they could compete with the cubs for fans, now it’s completely one sided. And rick hahn/Kenny Williams have proven for 15 years they have no clue how to build a team in the modern era, and there’s no way they will be fired under this ownership. No hope for the major leaguers and no hope for the farm and no fans, makes this the worst spot this franchise has ever been in. Literally the only hope is reinsdork selling, which I believe to happen sooner than later. Then we can talk about hope

  5. Has this been shared yet? Only organization in sports where this is acceptable. The only other one was the other reinsdork franchise and even they fired garpax. This is lunacy. We can’t keep sitting here while this front office degrades and gaslights us. Enough is enough. Time to start a coordinated protest against these people. If this was European soccer these guys would not be safe in their own homes. Time to go.

  6. I remember when a few members (including @Y2Jimmy0) absolutely ripped me for saying this front office wouldn’t build a winner in November of 2021 with their awful track record of MLB scouting. 2 years later and it sounds as though it is coming to an end, many years too late. Can’t wait for a front office that doesn’t blow money on shitty relievers. I get to victory lap, but our “window” was a huge waste of time.

Of course, they showed none of these things. And now the excuse of inexperience can't be used. These guys have played some games. It's already been a long season, and it will only get longer. They were lucky they didn't get completely swept in this last home stand. Just what have they shown us? And why should we have any expectations whatsoever?

This season is on par for the club dna. They absolutely showed tradition. This season is traditional under the current regime
