  1. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 12:38 PM) Putin opts not to meet with Tillerson. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39573744 What?
  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 09:23 AM) I think Darrel's got this s*** in the bag. He and Laurel have to be considered the favorites right? CT hasn't had to do much this season, but he might be able to challenge Darrel. I don't see how anybody comes close to beating Laurel.
  3. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 5, 2017 -> 01:31 PM) Yeah, the soccer stadium failing was kind of surprising to me. It was just St. Louis City that was able to vote on it. STL county and the metro-east (Illinois) would really help with attendance, but not for paying for the stadium unfortunately. In my opinion, the result was the best case scenario. The city gets a tax increase to use on upgrading their public transportation and the money can not be used to build some outside millionaires a soccer stadium. I feel like everyone is a winner.
  4. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 10:22 AM) s***, upper corners are $5 on Sundays at the gate. Everyone should be using Seatgeek these days. Better app, fewer fees. Most games $2-$3.
  5. QUOTE (coco1997 @ Mar 18, 2017 -> 12:29 PM) Where can I buy tickets for these games? I would suggest just walking up to the ticket office day of game and buying tickets there. If you look online, there are still whole sections available. Don't give Ticketmaster any of your money!
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 29, 2017 -> 10:29 AM) Oh its a hike to the Kave I've got to say, I'm dissapointed that they are putting this all the way down in the Bullpen Sports Bar. The only way to get there is by taking the ramps down to field level. Then if you stay in there, you end up watching the game from tv's inside the bar. At that point, I'd rather just go to a bar somewhere else and pay half of what I'm paying for a beer. Hopefully the Craft Beer selections at the stands throughout the park are still well stocked (and replacing Miller Lite with Modelo helps too).
  7. QUOTE (SexiAlexei @ Mar 3, 2017 -> 08:39 AM) Thanks! And thanks a lot for the reply. I wasn't aware there were buses that took you to the starting line, that helps a ton. They provide you with three options to get to the start line: 1) Bus from Midtown 2) Staten Island Ferry 3) Bus from the Meadowlands (Giants Stadium). Everything I read said that the Staten Island Ferry is the coolest experience (skyline/statue of liberty views). Make sure to check your email. They make you pick an option sometime in the summer.
  8. QUOTE (SexiAlexei @ Mar 2, 2017 -> 02:00 PM) Can anyone recommend a decent area to stay in NYC that isn't extremely expensive? I just got into the NYC marathon, but I don't know a damn thing about NYC. Congrats! Ran the marathon in 2015. Didn't get in this year. My recommendation would be to get a place as close to Central Park as possible allowing you to walk back after the race. The subway after the race is free, but it is extremely crowded. When I ran it, I used hotwire to get a place in Midtown near Times Square. Think I paid like $200/night. I liked it because the buses to the start line were located a block away from my hotel, and it was about a 2 mile walk back to the hotel from the finish line. It's an awesome race. Unfortunately nothing is going to be really cheap. Have fun.
