But this is a true situation where it isn't fair. Saying I'm sorry just doesn't even seem appropriate to say. I wish there was a way to bring comfort. I am truly sorry, we all are deeply sorry. My cousin was born prematurely as well and battled severe mental and physical effects until he passed at 17.
