Deal would have been Puig, McCarthy (probably to help off-set money), and 2 prospects. Not a straight one for one. Was close to happening to point where Braun was waiting outside office for confirmation. Deal didn't happen because they ran out of time. Again, im not doubting his ability to hit, the crack about "sort of bad outfielder" is a defense only comment. I just think the guy from this point forward would probably fit better in the AL where he can just DH.
