Now it wont make up for their on field production but in some ways the Sox will be better next year just because they got rid of those two. It's called "addition by subtraction" but in all fairness those are two very, very good players who were traded. Unfortunate situation brought on by the front office's inability to put a competitive team around them but under the circumstances they didn't have much of a choice, they had to do something to get out of the rut.
