Those are a pair of big strong oxen to put in the corners. Grab a couple guys from the low end of the Yankees T30 on top of that and I'm all in.

Judge offers intriguing buy-low appeal, as does Mateo.

You're talking about him in a deal for Q. I wouldn't consider that as a "buy-low."

From Andrew Marchand of ESPN:

Yankees GM Brian Cashman has repeatedly said he is pessimistic about adding another quality starter this winter. That, of course, won't cool down the Hot Stove with the latest re-linking the Yankees to the White Sox Jose Quintana. Cashman touches base for nearly every available player; especially when it is need base. However, the White Sox want a boatload of prospects. The Yankees have been disinclined to trade any of them so, unless that changes, it seems unlikely Quintana will end up in the Bronx.

MLB Network: "Quintana isn't an ace, he's a solid #2."

I swear Quintana could be an All-Star for the next three years, win a Cy Young and 20 games and people would still go "Well, he's good but..."

If you have Ace results people will always view you as a #2 if you don't have Ace type dominating "stuff".

That's probably a better package than what they got for Sale.

Yes, 4 top 100 including 2 top 50 is an insane package. Per the bmags soxtalk-value-to-actual value formula, you take out the 2nd and 4th best player in that package and you are a lot closer to a trade.

The Morosi report seems like a White Sox leak.

Perhaps, I don't see the Yankees offering up what it would take.

The Chapman signing to big money is interesting though, because it suggests the front office is not keen to wait multiple years for a rebuild. Trading for Quintana would accelerate the process, but would cost many of their top prospects

You start your request by asking for Torres, Frazier, Sheffield and Andujar

Torres + Frazier is not crazy considering three seasons of Sale got the White Sox Moncada + Kopech as a centerpiece

Sale netted #1 and #30, so 2 top 50 isn't out of the question, Q is nearly as good as Sale if hype is ignored and production analyzed. So, fine, how about Torres, Frazier, Andujar, Montgomery?
