QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 12:14 AM)
At this point I've completely lost faith in him as a starter.

Gonna say the changes they have made aren't working. At this point, there's not much to suggest he could be a strong relief contributor

Fulmer getting shelled again, also.

Mostly soft singles. He's throwing strikes, if he can get his command back (and it looks a lot better today) there's still reason for a little hope. I'm starting to think they might be better off putting him in the pen and just have him concentrate on throwing strikes for a single inning. When you watch him pitch the stuff doesn't look bad, but I've watched a few of his starts this year where he's really struggled to find the plate.

To vary degrees the entire Charlotte rotation has been disappointing. I'm still holding out hope for Fulmer but it's looking bleak right now.

Saying it's been disappointing is quite the understatement.

I'm fine with Lopez's season so far. He's struggled a bit at BB&T, but has been very good on the road. I think he's a guy who will flourish under Cooper. The other guys I agree with, although Giolito has performed at about expectations for me.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 04:22 AM)
I'd give Fulmer plenty of time to work through things and try to find some consistency as a starter. He's got the stuff to make it.

From the games I've seen on tv, his stuff isn't anything special. Fastball looked very hitable

QUOTE (Scoots @ Jul 7, 2017 -> 08:01 PM)
Would be a nice surprise if he forced his way through the minors quickly.

Agreed. I doubt Dulin 1B and Conlan 3B in WS will prevent Sheets and Burger from being moved up when the time comes. I think both end up in WS come August. Collins and Basabe could sure use the help.

Can we start the hype train on Seby Zavala?

.261/.332/.523/.855, leads all Sox minor leaguers with 16 homers and 2nd with 48 RBI. Been over .900 OPS each of the last 3 months after .524 April. .855 OPS is second for all players with 200 or more PAs.
