Seemingly every other hour, he comes out with a new report that contradicts his previous one. From what I understand, not including Nightengale, it's between us and the Cardinals (with Philadelphia as a long shot), we didn't offer Kopech or anyone of his caliber, and Machado could very well be traded in the next 24 hours. The thing is there isn't going to be an extension. I am pretty sure Baltimore knows that or they would be negotiating with him. Probably one reason they won't grant a 72 hour window, even though that would virtually guarantee he wouldn't be traded to the Yankees, is because they know it is pointless.
