True, I guess i'm assuming that Zuckerberg would want to help his liberal friends. But as always, the almighty dollar always trumps (ba-doom-ching) politics.

Yeah, Facebook is a publicly traded company and was in 2016. Zuckerberg's duty of loyalty is to his shareholders, not to his liberal friends.

Which I never understood. The dude campaigned for her (or at least made a few speeches here and there). He already has a bias. Who cares?

Trump made a huge campaign point of the fact that the Obama administration should have, but didn't, charge Hillary Clinton with a crime. And he seemed to receive a ton of support for that!

Now, imagine the headlines on Fox News "OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TELLS FACEBOOK TO TAKE DOWN PRO-TRUMP COMMENTS!!!!!" It would have been a bloodbath.

There are a lot of unnamed US-side actors in these indictments. Wonder if/when we'll see indictments from that side.

e: it was also another example of how tight this investigation is. no leaks of this at all ahead of the announcement today.

Again I ask - who cares? Fox News got upset when Obama wore a tan suit or when John Kerry or whoever it was (maybe Obama?) forgot his American Flag pin.

Seems like the voters cared with the Lock Her Up stuff. I tend to think that Obama telling Facebook to get rid of pro-Trump comments is exactly the type of thing that gets the Conservative base out to vote.

I think if Facebook is going to make the claim of being "your online identity" and the rise of influencer marketing, we are at the stage where some regulation is in order. It was good in the 90s they were lenient on regulating the internet, but the same ideas from how the FTC regulates advertising need to start to be applied to things like fake accounts and for it to work the platform needs to be liable.

I’m wondering if they timed it to get some people to roll up (small / medium actors give up the larger ones), knowing that the walls are closing in.

It's also not just Russians who promote fake news stuff. Conservative media is full of the stuff. The same people likely to consume and spread the Russian produced stuff are also going to frequent the gateway pundit and world net daily and American thinker and any number of those types of sites.

Hell, the President has still never recanted his birtherism.

Roger Stone, of all people, destroyed Trump's alibi.

Funny how the Fake News Media doesn’t want to say that the Russian group was formed in 2014, long before my run for President. Maybe they knew I was going to run even though I didn’t know!

Trump now claims he never said Russia didn’t meddle in the election. If so, other than refuse to enforse congress approved sanctions what did you do? Traitor.

Also saying FBI too focused on Trump campaign as reason they missed on this. 17 teachers and teenagers gunned down and its all about Trump being a victim.

Yes, He is correct, Russia is laughing their asses off, but not because of this investigation. It is because they succeeded, and Trump is President.

Everyone who thinks what he is doing, what he is saying, how is is acting, is OK, would not feel the same way if Hillary or Obama were doing the exact same thing.

@realDonaldTrump

Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign - there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!

What a colossal bag of trash this man is.

Cut him some slack. He hastily threw this tweet together because he had to attend a disco party last night. Also had to cut his visit with families of the victims short in order to attend that party.

When will Trump say or do something about Russian meddling other than say he is supposedly cleared? I guess now is not the time.

When will he shut up about the 2016 election? Did his predecessors bring old candidates up as much as he does?

If you watch Fox News you would think Dems haven’t figured out the results of the election. If it isn’t State run TV, it has a spot on imitation.

Fat, unhealthy Americans threaten Trump’s defense surge

Rising obesity numbers, drug use, criminal backgrounds and other problems mean most people at prime military recruiting age are ineligible to serve.

Nearly three-quarters of Americans age 17 to 24 are ineligible for the military due to obesity, other health problems, criminal backgrounds or lack of education, according to government data. That's a harsh reality check for the Pentagon’s plan to recruit tens of thousands of new soldiers, sailors, pilots and cyber specialists over the next five years.
