Courtney Hawkins is not blocking a single prospect. Collins isn’t sitting for Hawkins ABs.

Zavala was at C with Hawkins at DH. I understand letting Zavala catch, but then have Collins DH. When Collins is catching, Zavala can DH. And with the way the kids at W-S are hitting, they'll need that DH slot when Zavala moves up to AAA.

Kind of curious that with how great a lot of our minor league hitters are playing, very few HR so far. All teams played today and only 3 HR combined, and Kanny was the only loser today.

In fact, team leaders.........

Charlotte - Palka/Rondon - 2 (Team total of 4)

Birmingham - Zavala/Fisher - 2 (Team total of 4)

W-S - Booker/Roman/Yrizarri - 1 (Team total of 3)

Kanny - Blackman - 3 (Team total of 5)

So after 8 or 9 games for all these teams, no team has more than 5 HR! That's kind of nuts, especially when you consider our major league team had 6 just on Opening Day!

Maybe the balls aren't juiced in the minors. Good observation

Basto and Hawkins are the obvious candidates to give way.

Polo should be playing everyday. Basabe and Booker will be the ones to be pushed first, as Rutherford needs a full High A season to prove himself.

Adolfo eventually to test his bat at a higher level, but that would take at-bats from Zavala or Collins.

Can Basto and Hawkins take Barnum with them when they go!! Some will say they are not blocking anyone, and they maybe are not, but get somebody off waivers to at least contribute.

Great to see most of the guys off to good starts.

Anyone know anything about Palka? Could he push his way to majors this year?

Palka was a beast at Georgia in the NCAA, he killed the Illini in the postseason one year. Power hitter for sure, Twins liked him but seemed to sour on him
