I do take some solace in knowing I was right about Quintero being the Cuban shortstop I thought he was. He played with Luis Robert in several international tournaments. I don't know why he fell off the map, but it seemed like he was a good talent when he was younger that would have been a big J2 signing if he was from anywhere other than Cuba. I really think he might have just been a Cuban guy that slipped through the cracks. He was playing in the CNS at like 17 and was holding his own.
