Keep in mind that he was probably expected to be completely overmatched last season since he had never pitched above A-Ball before being thrown to the wolves last season. Their pitching has been aggressively bad for a while but crazy how much worse that lineup looks with a decrepit Davis. One of the things with that power hitting 1b/DH type. Mostly that matchup like this and random chance are the reason it's very difficult for a baseball team to win less than 60 games in a season.
