Fulmer threw 87 pitches and only 46 strikes to go with 6 walks. Yikes.

But he still only gave up one run. This is one issue in the minors the hitters aren't going to take advantage of it there as much as the MLB. The answer isn't as simple as "don't walk hitters" because these hitters will chase more bad pitchers as well. Imagine how many runs and probably more walks there would have been at the MLB.

It would have been very ugly at the major league level. I like looking at the number of pitches and strikes. Gives a better idea of how the pitcher was locating and tonight was not good for Fulmer despite giving up just one run.

The main thing for Carson is that he's at a level where he can stay in the game and work through the stuff. Problem in MLB wasn't so much the production so much as getting pulled so early that he couldn't actually throw enough pitches to improve. Hopefully he's getting his feel back in AAA.
