The good news is that Rodon recovered really nicely.  Only 3 hits and no walks over the last 4 IP.

That might work to justify a miserable Shields effort.

Sox need Rodon to dominate.

Cut Thompson, send Engel to AAA;

Watching the game on MLB extra innings Indians broadcast.  I hope their announcers realize these dominant pitching performances are due, in part, because they are pitching against the White Sox.  They won’t be getting these results against the Yankees or a team that has real hitters!

The Indians crew sucks.  They are the cockiest crew I've seen for a team that hasn't won jack shit since Truman was in office.

Jose continues to be very bad in the clutch. If I'm reading fangraphs correctly, he's hitting .182 with no homers in 27 at bats in high leverage spots.

He gets himself out being way too eager to drive in runs, Have to look middle of the plate there and he swung at the 2nd pitch outside off the plate. It's all about approach in those situations and knowing you are the man and being patient enough to know they would rather not face you and will more than likely pitch you that way.

Couldn't within 1 run be a 1-0 game in bottom of 1st?  Seems like fangraphs created high leverage stat to give a better representation of "clutch" factor

That may be true, but regardless, I trust that table over a 27 AB sample
