If the gun was slow, then that's exactly what he was at.  I know I've said this a lot, but once he figures out how to elevate the ball with 2 strikes without losing velocity, his strike out rate is going to skyrocket again.

Well qualify that the Charlotte gun is slow next time to not incite panic attacks lol. If you see the words "Kopech" and "91 mph fastball" in the same sentence you're risking the lives of older diehards as someone is liable to have a heart attack.

That's why it's slowly. Because he's 17, he's played in only a few games, and it's a horseshit league for teenagers. Obviously he'll have to continue to hit, but as long as he continues to go 2-4 every night, he's a name worth following.

You can count on Southsider to micro analyze everything and be smug/miserable while doing so

Adley Rutschman is a stud.

Nah, just your standard switch hitting catcher with solid defense and a good arm who hits near .400 as a sophomore and has serious pop in his bat. Those come along pretty much every year, right?

I hope he doesn't have the same gradual velocity loss as Giolito. This seems eerily similar. It was a gradual drop to where he is now with Giolito. When Gio came up with the Nats, he was topping out at 96, and it was all downhill from there. This is very concerning. He is also getting wild and walking everyone. It seems like Giolito all over again. That would royally suck. Cross your fingers that it doesn't happen to Cease too as he moves up the ladder.

Jesus dude...calm down.

Stiever with a good debut.  3 IP, 0H, 1 BB, 6 Ks.

I don't know if it's just because an IU kid, but I'm very excited for him. Madrigal, Steele, Stiever, and Bilous are the ones I'm keeping the closest watch on, the first two guys being obvious. I actually like Steiver more than Pilkington.

He lives in Michigan City. I'd be pretty f***ing miserable if I lived there, too.

lmao, you are actually trying to hurt my feelings by hating on my hometown?  Good lord.  You take this way too seriously if your feelings are that hurt.
