He makes himself look like an ass regularly with his hustle rules. They can't keep this dude as manager. It's time. I saw about 10 instances last night where guys were not running nearly as hard as they could have.. and the plays were much more beatable than Avi's meaningless pop out. But the real issue is the in game strategy - even though managers don't mean that much, he hurts the team on a regular basis with fast pitch softball tactics. The use of the bullpen, the constant bunting, the pulling guys on questionable plays, and the two most important guys in the lineup (Moncada and Anderson) being shuffled around the lineup. Hamilton, Burr, Ruiz, Zach Thompson, Fulmer, Frare, and Bummer would be every bit as “good” as what they’re running out there now, they just don’t want to bring any of them up. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Last year when they had a functioning pen in the first half, he and Coop used it fine. It won't solve anything, of course, but whatever. I gotta be honest, when I was bracing myself for the pain of going through the rebuild, I didn't think SoxTalk would be harder to deal with than watching the crappy games.
