If the dude could play any sort of defense, he'd be a legend. Playing for the Sox, never really winning a World Series that he was actually a part of, injuries later in his Sox career, not staying with one team, only 5 all star appearances (none after 1997), no MVPs after his 5th year in the league. He went on to have pretty good year in Oakland while sox got Thome so it was hard to complain.
