I haven't watched him play much, but why is he the default "marquee" MLB player? Personally, Trout seems more like that player. Could Harper's status quickly change if he continues to have less than stellar years, while other emerging stars overtake him? Vlad Guerrero Jr. and a few other youngsters, look like they could become the new faces of the game. Thought Kluber would’ve been dealt last night. Sounds like this week is all about leg work of a deal and they finish whenever Harper decides on the deal. Just my guess. Doesn't sound like either Harper or Machado are signing soon (obviously Machado is making visits the next week or two). One is waiting for the other to sign.
