He lavished praise upon the city of Chicago. Also said whoever cuts Machado the biggest check will get Machado. So, with nothing but that to go on, thoughts on Adam Jones as a fit? Jones may struggle to land more than a one year deal anywhere due to his regression. He's a liability in center field, and his bat isn't really good enough to be a corner regular. TheFutureIsNear Posted December 12, 2018 Share Posted December 12, 2018 I’d rather see Jones playing a corner OF spot on a cheap 1 year deal then see more Delmonico/Luery/Cordell/whatever we currently have on the roster.
