That would give us another lefty at a reasonable price and I think Covey could potentially be an effective piece in the bullpen considering how teams struggled against him the first time through the order. I would imagine if it’s a free agent, they need to come in and take a physical, especially if it’s a pitcher, so with holiday plans that could easily be delayed a few days. If it’s the end of next week and nothing has come out, I will think he was just given bad info. I think I have had somedisagreements with this poster, but I don’t think he would just make this up. My guess is that the poster read the same (or similar) information from a few different writers and made an assumption that there would be news soon. It's possible that he is completely on the right track, however, it's rather obvious that the White Sox (and several other teams) are actively trying to make moves. Unfortunately, it's a slow moving market so it takes the entire off-season to complete your off-season moves. There will be a few more moves by the White Sox. Who the heck is honest with a potential superstar and tells him we both know we lost 100 games however here are all our good prospects and this is where we see this team going in a very short time with you leading the way ? The thing is there was nothing from any writers or tweeters that something was in the works that came together quickly and would be announced shortly. If I had to make a guess it's either Machado or a relief pitcher, guys we definitely know Hahn is seeking. Trades are more difficult because we probably don't trade any good prospects or anyone of the young guys already up.
