Once again, the team involved in this negotiation is the Chicago Whitesox, they are NOT New York Yankees or the Cubs to be in a position to do this. They have no bargaining chips here other than to pay the man. The team has been losing for a decade straight, have not signed a big named free agent in even longer than that and are in no way shape or form in position to do anything like this.
