It isn't inconceivable that he could have been brought in nearer to spring training without a major league guarantee. See he had this thing called “leverage” because the White Sox wanted him for Machado reasons. (On second thought, I don't know of ANYONE buying Michael Ynoa jerseys because he helped recruit Luis Robert.) That said, this will be the biggest announcement by the Sox in over two decades. Maybe, but the only problem with Tilson is he's literally been hurt since the first day he's been with us. Last year he finally wasn't but still felt like he was 3 steps behind.
