You'd think so but sox had 2 years to do that, traded solid relievers for charlie tilson and ryan cordell, and are projected to have negative WAR in two outfield positions this year. Leury Garcia is a poor man's Marwin Gonzalez and much cheaper. Give him at bats in 2019 in another non-competitive season. Marwin does not fit in with the Sox's long term plans. Leury can't stay healthy and 28, you have no idea what marwins cost is, and it doesn't matter. Marwin has a possible chance of being what he was a year ago and you can trade him for something that fits long term.
