What is up with this dude's hands. Hasn't that been the only area of injury for him?

he keeps getting hit with pitches and jamming his hand into the base sliding head first.  speaks to how incredibly raw he still is.   In the US at least a few hours of spring practice are devoted to one "don't slide head first except into home" and how to turn your back to the pitch when you're about to get hit.  Harder to get into those habits at his level than HS and college.

His first hand injury last year during ST was on a feet first slide into second.

If he had a broken hand they would have known that same day or next after x-rays.

it wouldn't be the first time they thought he had a minor injury, only to see it not improve and then run tests a few days later and find out it was a serious injury.

Sox are just being extra cautious. Robert hit multiple balls over the CF wall in BP tonight. Should be back this weekend.
