Without any special insight about his starting level - I would love to see him in AA in August. Wherever they do start him I hope he hits enough quickly enough that we can get him to that level.

That's why I said A+ . With all the positives about his bat I first thought AA but then realized how aggressive that would be and no way they stick him in that park to start his journey.

Harold never stops giving. The 9th pick in the draft isnt just Freddie Freeman (a perennial MLB allstar) but hes Freddie with better power lol.

I liked when he compared Abrams’ swing to Jarrod Dyson, haha.  Good lord I would hope not.

Beer was old too. I was a year younger than most in  my class, but I turned 19 about a month into my junior year of college.

Yeah, I think the age concerns really matter. I was Batys age my sophomore year of college. I was 17 when my senior year season concluded in high school as I had a late birthday.

Based on the comments being made by the FO, I fully expect Vaughn (if healthy) to debut in the majors next summer. Seems like they're gonna fast track him. I applaud it, he's very polished

They see a young core already in the majors with pitching reinforcements on the way. I imagine they want to add to it in short order. Next season could be really fun.

If he played 3B, I'd love him lol. But I did say I believe his bat is very real. Much moreso than Parkman. I don't mind the pick at all.

BTW, I like Vaughn's bat too. I believe that arm/field/run tools are significantly less volatile going from amateur to pro than the hit and power tools. Hit and power are the most volatile tools for a position player going from amateur to pro and that fact is why I view him as incredibly risky. I'd rather draft someone with insane upside that is capable of playing a position. A corner OF can be moved to 1B. So can a 3B or catcher. I've never questioned his current bat skills.

I tend to believe in toolsy players with huge upside over safer players. It's a numbers game. The more of those types you draft, the more likely it is that you hit the jackpot. Same with pitchers. I believe in stuff guys. I believe you go upside in the 1st round and balance it with with safer players in the later high rounds.

Seems like kind of a reach but Twins must be confident in developing his bat. Speed is amazing

I dont understand how he wasnt in any showcases. I was awful and played at area code and PG. I guess that was a long time ago, but how is it possible that he wasnt at AC or PG formally?

With the numbers he put up in college I think it's safe to say we should be disappointed if his numbers don't warrant such a debut.
