The only time I've seen this is when the runner rounded the base, went too far and the outfielder threw the ball to first and they got him coming back to the bag.

Or an infield hit/error where he technically makes movement toward second so the 1B tags him out.

The error wouldn't count as a hit for him. Otherwise, basically the same thing.

That's true. Yeah, it was either your scenario or mine, both involving rounding the base a tad too far. Regardless, that's a call you don't see often.

No doubt . Like I said I can only recall one in the MLB. I think it was mark lavalliere.
