One thing I noticed with Cease in Charlotte is that he was so often a victim of just shit defense behind him. Also the hits that he gives up are frequently cheapies. Doinks and dinks, seeing eye singles. Often speaks to just how good the fastball is.

I don‘t think I have seen his curve get hit hard in the games I have watched. The hit by Castro was another one of those cheapies

Agreed, biggest reason why he needs to limit free passes. His babip in Charlotte seemed awful.
