Veloz, I think a 2019 signee, has been lights out for the DSL Sox. Another save today, ERA under 1.00

Interesting. If accurate 6'2 185 lbs and 18yo.  Wonder if next year you bring to AZL and/or see if he can start?

If he has the right makeup to be a closer type I do not mind him staying there. Guess you want him to work some innings though to work on all his pitches. Either way, but seems he deserves a shot.

He was called up to replace Varnell who was promoted to W-S. Frare was sent to W-S too and McClure went on the IL

Madrigal 1-3 (single)

Robert 0-3 (under .300 now)

Here we go, dare I say both making Hahn look kind of smart?

I don't think anyone thought Madrigal should be up this season. Robert was 50/50 on the board. He'll be great still but right now the struggles are visible.

The question is whether you value 2020 more and want him to struggle now with an offseason to adjust or if you want him to struggle next year while we are ostensibly competing.

Madrigal now 1-4 after popping out to 2b and Robert now 0-4 after popping out in foul territory

Walker 1-4 with a single

Stiever didn't give up any runs in 3 IP, walking 1 and striking out 3

Robert honestly looks bored to me but he could be a bit tired too.

Remember when Eloy didn't come up because he needed defensive improvement?  What would you say is his biggest weakness?

If anyone here follows Luis Robert on Instagram, he posted a series of videos of him getting robbed of hits. Lots of hard hit balls that should’ve been hits, but great defensive plays were made.
