Just enough offense to hold off a 9th inning comeback from the A's. Eloy HR. Lopez gave up no runs in 6.1 innings to continue his recent run of good starts.

I agree. Lopez has been a different pitcher since the All-Star break. He seems to find a way even when he doesn't have his best stuff. All too often he used to collapse and give up a big inning. Now he seems to be more in control..

The people who matter to the rebuild had a good game.  Anderson, Lopez, Eloy, Bummer & Colome all contributed.  Next year they will have more help.

Eloy and Abreu did well also. Abreu back over .270. That would be cool if he could rally and hit .290.

The Sox are only slightly better than last year. Slight upward trajectory while Detroit and KC trending down. That's the difference. Minny is better but they always beat us regardless . Cleveland on fire now.
