Game Thread 08/23/19 - Players Weekend and Cease Day - Rangers @ Sox

Recommended Posts

The HR/FB rate against Cease is ridiculously inflated. I expect that to come down. He is striking guys out a good clip and cut down his walks.

He will be fine.

I'd be all about those for the new throwbacks. I'm not sick of the current Sox jerseys by any means but I am sick of the '83 throwbacks

I kind of wish they rotated a different throwback each Sunday. They have enough different ones that they could do it.

It’s pretty obvious that he’s extremely out-of-shape and lazy.  It looks like he doesn’t want to get off his ass most of the time.  😂

Look i do not care for cooper, but isn't it the manager that would tell him to go out to the pitcher.

Man if Dylan can avoid that one bad inning

He reminds me so much of 2018 Giolito it isn't funny.

Control wise, yes.

Cease is striking out more guys than Giolito did.

Cease has significantly better stuff than Giolito had

Not even close. Cease strikes out over a batter an inning. Giolito was at 6.5K/9 and also walked more batters.

Cease has a 20% HR/FB rate that will normalize.
