I mean....he had his chance and produced exponentially worse than all three.

the guy was hurt in spring training. Got a 2 week look and was sent packing. It really doesn't matter. we aren't good enough yet any way.

but it seemed a little harsh. He did just fine last year.

Yah, there is really zero reason what so ever for guys like Jay, Castillo, Santiago, Detwiler, Osich, and Skole (shit, even add Yolmer to the list) to make another appearance with the Sox.  I do agree that things may be treated a bit difference with Charlotte's playoff series starting next Wednesday.

But really, now is the time to be giving some of these fringey guys shots instead of guys we know with 100% certainty will not be on the 40 man in 2 months.

Yeah, I'd pretty much leave Charlotte more or less intact until they bounce out of their playoffs.

But, I'd disagree that "now" would be the time to give the fringey guys shots. The time was, well, May, once Machado wasn't signed, and Rodon went down. In any case, none of the players on the 40 man in Charlotte are all that interesting, IMO; I really don't want to squander the service time of Robert/Madrigal, unless they sign extensions first.

So let me get this straight...the Sox aren't calling up Collins, Mercedes, or Mendick?

The Knights are going to be the wildcard team if they don’t mess up the next two games. More moves will come after the playoffs but don’t expect anyone who hasn’t already played for the Sox this season.

That would suck with no  M and M Boys (Mercedes and Mendick)

Charlotte is taking a dive. Soon we will have a new catcher or two. Wonder about pitchers. Banuelos coming back so the 40 is now full. He got lit up last week and Kubat had a bad outing. The team really collapsed. Banuelos needs to go. Mediocre pitchers who get injured are the worst.

Considering all the meaningless games the Sox play vs Det KC and Sea in September, I really don't see much baseball value in calling up Robert or Madrigal. If these guys are like Moncada or Eloy or any other recent Whitd Sox prospect,  this month plus the first 2 weeks of next season isn't going to make or break their MLB performance in 2020.

Gave up a five run lead, tied 6-6 in the ninth at Norfolk.

Game over, they managed to lose six of their last seven. That contender experience was invaluable.

Choke runs deep in this organization.  This was probably their only chance for the post season.  I can't see it happening next year.  Please no more leadership from those who were from the Cub's organization.
