Link here's a rundown on how they go, the league the player is in would get precedence (if claimed).

I could have sworn I read somewhere that the in the offseason, waiver priority goes to the worst team in the opposite league first.  In which case the Marlins would have had first dibs.

Good job by the marlins picking up aguilar and villar for cheap. Sure they come with bust potential but if everything goes right they could also combine for 60+ bombs and be nice trade candidates at the deadline plus neither is a long time burden on the payroll if they don't work.
