Y2Jimmy > National Reports (Moncada extended 5 years)

Recommended Posts

This is such a strange way to allocate funds when the plan all along is to build a perennially 2nd place team

Why did Moncada sign this? He must really want to be here... This is pure insanity. Love it, brass ball Hahn.

Amazing deal, and amazing scoop by our guy Jimmy. Just crushing it this offseason.

Didn't the Red Sox pay him a boatload of cash just to sign him?

Yes, and I believe it was similar to what the Sox paid for Robert.

edit: $31.5M according to Wikipedia.  I knew it a large number.

I'd like to thank Yoan's new agent and perhaps Odrisamer Despaigne (who has that same agent) if he happened to introduce his fellow countryman to these fine people.

So ahhh looks like my projections that got torched here for here too conservative were actually on the high side....

Back on Feb 24 guessed the following:

$5M signing bonus.

2020: $1M

2021: $5M

2022: $10M

2023: $14M

2024: $18M

2025: $20M

2026: $22M

That is 7/$99M guaranteed.

You were very close nice work.

I think I got thrown off by the 9 year report because was still thinking this would come in around 120-130.

This isn't that cheap, but also not expensive. It's a deal you don't have to sign, so really glad they pulled it off.

Sox are the place to be for a warm happy Cubano/Latinx baseball nest. Nothing but good.

WHAT IF... and hear me out......

Not Steve Ciscek is acutally a Y2Jimmy burner account that he will use to praise himself so that Y2Jimmy will then become a larger writer/reporter. IT'S THE INCEPTION OF MLB RUMORS!

You know I still wonder if James and not Steve Cishek have the same source? But classy move by NSC gives the props to James.

It's just to not use latino/latina - as to not imply sex. I think it's stupid too, but don't want you to take it the wrong way either.

It could make sense. He has the best year of his career and he's still relegated to backup. I don't know if he's going to start anywhere else except on a bad team, though.
