Cerbaho-WG Posted January 2, 2003 Share Posted January 2, 2003 Why I just noticed this is beyond me. The Reds, as we all know, have a pretty spiffy outfield. Dunn, Griffey, Kearns. We all know that the Reds tried to shop us Griffey, no dice. But, with Russel Branyan, and Willy Mo Pena locked to make the roster, someone has to be available. I've heard that Dunn was shopped to the 'Spos, just imagine if he made it here. Cincy has a logjam in the outfield, and they need pitching prospects. The thought of a Kearns/Dunn, Borchard, Ordonez OF would make me estatic. Pipe dreams = PHUNNNN!!! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
witesoxfan Posted January 2, 2003 Share Posted January 2, 2003 Dunn can play 1B...so when Casey leaves, Dunn takes over there(although I believe he has a really good arm...that'd be a waste of a good arm to put him at 1B)...which leaves them with 4 OFers....and they'd get rid of Branyan, who strikes out about as much as Bobby Bonds. I sure as hell don't want Branyan, when we got a guy that's very close to him talent wise in Jeff Liefer.
