Robert was looking back, average lead, not a very good jump and barely got thrown out.

Missed hit and run???

Or was just looking back towards the plate out of habit?

Missed hit and run imo. I haven’t seen him look back like that before

Fathom, just curious.   Are we going to fixate on the Cubs this year or you've totally given up the ghost?

Or only if we face them in the World Series?

Basically everyone makes the playoffs, so no reason to worry about their regular season.

Big shift from pre-season.   The NL Central looked like it was going to be a huge challenge to get two teams out of that division, with 4 competitors and one garbage franchise.

That said, their starting rotation has weaknesses and Wick as the closer might not have much of a shelf life.

could have been both. Easily. They still will have to buy one more starter if they want to win a World Series. With the lineup locked up for years, they only have one more true need. Wheeler was better than anything available this offseason.

Wheeler has averaged 96.7 on fastball.   Caught first couple of innings, he got touched up (bad Segura defense) but recovered to get his second win.

Yankees' lineup without Sanchez, Urshela and Stanton in Game 1.   Already setting up roster for post-season/Twins.
