Gall, Gauls, Visigoths, it was total BS. looking at their recent pitching looks, and respective performances, there were at least 5-6 better options in the third and certainly against their four best hitters in the top of the 4th. Now we can argue Mendick getting deked and Grandal aided and abetted the meltdown, but Anderson was never any good in the first place. Luplow was something like 0/20 coming into game, Taylor a catcher best known for defense (not really known at all compared to the likes of Gomes and R. Perez) and DeShields just MEH as a hitter.
