After the crap we've dealt with since 2008? We have radically different outlooks I guess.

It’s all about how you get to 8-8 though. Too many injuries and not a lot of improvement by those we needed to take the next step.  In all honesty, they’re pretty lucky to be 8-9 with as bad as they’ve played at times

Who would have predicted the DET Tigers being 2 1/2 games up on the White Sox...?

Wonder how much those who took that bet, or the Marlins being in the playoff race?   Houston, Angels, Mets, Phillies, Reds, Cards and DBacks all being sub-.500 teams.

I guess in that sense, it's been really good for baseball.

Except the Yankees/Dodgers part, yet again.

That's exactly the point though. We didn't suffer through a rebuild for .500 baseball.

You think they're all of a sudden gonna win 100 games (or whatever the equivalent of 100 games is for this season)? Be realistic. Get to .500 for the first time since like 2012.

Which is honestly encouraging. They're .500 with a ton of injuries and some really bad games.

People act like this team has so much more talent than everyone else, and winning at a high rate is a given. There are still a lot of holes on this roster.
