It has always been weird that the only bench player capable of playing OF is Engel. If you use him as a pinch-runner or you start him, you lose a lot of flexibility. Renteria said the other day that Goins is the next outfielder if needed, but I really hope it doesn't come to that. If it wasn't for him, Lopez's CG one-hitter in Cleveland last year is a no-hitter. Looking at the transaction page- both Luery and Hamilton went on the DL and Flores and Cuthbert were brought up...but we got an extra spot because of the double header so once Flores was sent back down there was an open spot.
