Basically the same catch probability as the Superman act by Robert. Someone not lazy compare the distance covered ( In feet) and opportunity  time to Robert's catch . Seems fairly similar.

Yea the distances and times were very similar indeed. Think Eloy had 6 tenths of a second more...

Just was hard to see anything from his movement at the point of contact off the bat.

Eloy is not slow and he sometimes makes good plays especially when he doesn't have to make a tough route decision.

Eloy is bad when it comes to planning routes and also general oversight in the OF (knowing were walls and the CF are) but when he can just go full speed without thinking he is not that bad.

In this case the ball was hit straight into the gap so he didn't really have to think much but just took a direct route to cut it off, he basically just went the shortest way. That is no always good because if you miss the ball that way it probably is a triple but in that case it worked perfectly.

Our starting pitching is looking to be in good order for the playoffs.  It's the relievers that need to get sorted out.  A Bummer return at full strength would be huge.

Fun game to watch.

Moncada is looking more like himself.  That running play for that slow grounder was outstanding.  He's really good at the difficult plays, but sometimes struggles with routine throws.  Regardless, he's an asset over there. 

Eloy's catch was great.  The most amazing part was how fast he ran.  I don't think I've ever seen him go after a ball that fast before.

McCann is making it hard to justify him not playing every day.  That said, I would expect him to be on the bench on Friday. 🙄

Dunning looked very sharp.  It's amazing that he can fool so many hitters with a 93 mph fastball.

Hidden among all the other good stuff was the huge two-run single by Madrigal.  Two strikes, two outs, bases loaded, and he does what he does: Hits the ball.  Making it a five run lead was huge at that point.

I'm starting to think this team might be good.

Eloy plays better on his glove side which is why he looks better on the RF foul line. LF not so much.

It has been said in more than one broadcast that Eloy actually measures with plus speed, so that is not the problem.  His problem 100% is his reads.

Reads and agility.  His agility is horrendous if you ask him to flip his hips and go get a ball over his head forget about it.  But if you ask him to just run in a straight line he's pretty fast.  That was an incredible play not only did he get a good jump he got up to top speed quickly and took a helluva route.
