Granted Yolmer has some surprisingly nice hits for a change but his fully displayed that his arm is too weak for 3b. And it’s absolutely too weak to play SS. So now we have our main backup infielder who plays inferior defense at all positions to the guy they just sent down. All because he tickles Ricky and makes him laugh. They thought they needed an extra arm. That said Mendick has been a good solid player in a role hopefully he has the next 5 years. I hope it’s nothing more than that. He is a nice player.
