Just make the move and be done Yeah a DH only makes sense on the roster when he is playing, EE has been sitting quite a bit recently but you can't really sit him more than twice a week or he just blocks a roster spot. You don't carry a bench DH on the roster, I.e if the front office doesn't want him to play they need to DFA him (or fake DL or whatever) to free up his roster spot.
