Some good things are happening with the Sox. The team will be better next year. This wasn’t the championship year, and that’s ok. Fire Renteria. Make some quality moves in the offseason. Next year could be 90+ wins if they play 162.

More likely they won't fire Renteria, they'll make some half ass moves and wind up closer to 80  wins than 90.

I could've said that but I chose the high road. Not that you saying it is the low road but I give you credit for having more guts than me. Let's score some runs !!

lol. I feel ok saying it when it was controversial to be ok trading prospects for a “non-year” but suddenly everyone is swearing at Hahn for not acquiring a guy now.

They'll give Mazara and extension and roll with the guys we have. It's going to be fun in a full season of this. But hey we can afford to blow these games/seasons. We should have 5 world series by 2026!

Morale of the story is this pitching hasn’t been able to get the 3rd out of the inning in big situations enough the last two weeks

Got a lot of depth to build. Real depth. Not wishcasting that Reynaldo lopez is a piece of the future type depth.

And that could be no big deal, but depends on Jerry. Hopefully this makes him hungry.

This is what everyone in the trade deadline thread who didn't want to trade prospects wanted to see. You wanted to see these guys go out and struggle. All of that because you take the playoffs for granted. We may not go back next year.

Also in the offseason our aquisitions.  The whitesox have got to stop signing the aged veteran that they believe has one more golden year in the tank.   This has been a strategy forever.  We keep missing with this.  There were plenty of bat options that they could of had to not be EE.  Ryu was there for the taking as well.

Exactly, to assume that you will be back in the playoffs next season is stupid.  When you have a chance you go for it.

Crochet injury report says forearm tightness..it could be just that and he is done for the year, but no major issue.

They won’t know until he meets with some soecialists
