Don't want Gallo. Gross. Lynn or Darvish, heck yeah! And ask about Hendricks while talking to the Cubs.

There's not much out there that isn't super expensive.

If I had to choose between Cease and Dunning as the centerpiece, I think I'm going Cease.

Cease+filler(Sheets, Burger, Adolfo, Rutherford type guys, maybe 2 of them) for Gallo and Lynn? Who says no?

I don't want to, but that solves a bunch of problems with one deal.

I was saying I do want all those guys, just not Gallo.

I mean, yeah if you ask about Darvish or Hendricks, you're going to pay a lot. That's ok. It's time for the Sox to take a swing for the fences.

Quintana looked really good the couple times I saw him pitch in '20. Granted, he only pitched something like 12 innings all year

Quite a bit of smoke out there right now between the food burner accounts, club beat writers, some national writers, etc. Hopefully we start seeing some moves happen soon.

Or they're just taking advantage of the "Winter meetings" to try to drive in more traffic.

Saying Q could be better than Gio Gonzalez is ... not that impressive to me.

It would cost at least Kopech or Vaughn to get Lynn and Gallo

Q is still much, much better than Gio Gonzalez.  Gio Gonzalez has to throw 45 pitches just to get out of bed in the morning.  At least "lesser" Q can still easily work into the 6th.

Then you tell them "Okay well enjoy losing with your pieces then" and you walk away.

A few laughs at my comment, but people really think the Rangers are going to from asking for Vaughn for Lynn to going “sure we will throw in our best offensive player also and don’t have to include Vaughn now”?

If they want Vaughn they can kick rocks.

Chris Young would get off to quite the start by unloading their two best trade chips for players we, as fans, don’t mind giving up.

I'd much rather just wait til next week when the Phillies owner is having a temper tantrum and makes Harper and Wheeler available again.  Gallo is... not enticing.  And Lynn really isn't either.

IMO, sign Adam Eaton and Dahl, give up no prospects, and that is a whole lot better than Gallo.

I’m stunned people want Eaton back. He was hated by his teammates here and he’s a member of the “Yoan Moncada limp every time you run hard” club.  His defense has been quite poor lately as well.

And yet you're talking about trading Kopech and/or Vaughn for Gallo.

Perspective......

Agree! Do we really want two light hitting outfielders (Engel and Eaton) playing right field?  I'm not sure I want Heyward in a trade.

I never said I would trade those guys for the Rangers players.  I’m just saying that those expecting the cost to be that low are insane.

Heyward is fine if Yu comes with. Hell no if it’s just him.

He also perfectly fits the grinder thing our manager loves to see out of others.

The thing I don’t like about this is Quintana isn’t very good.

Would be an incredibly lackluster addition IMO.

I really hope a one-eyed cat breaks the Liam Hendriks signing

What happened to that Cubs insider cat that got everything wrong the last couple offseason?

Hopefully he scratched out the eyes of that dickwad Yankees fan that kept insisting Machado was going to NY forever.  He was the Yankees NotCishek.  Whatever his name was.

So Joel Sherman suggests it would take Clint Frazier and Luke Voit to get Lynn and Gallo.  I’m sure Rangers would rather have Cease and filler
