Who was that prospect? Dunning?

Same trade, wrong prospect.

BA ranked Avery Weems #10 in the Sox system. Most of us hadn't heard of Avery Weems since his draft night.

Ah yeah. The guy I had never heard of until we traded him.

Baseball Prospectus apparently has Madrigal ranked as the #12 overall prospect.  The last time they overhyped a White Sox prospect they we’re moved in a major trade 🤔

Also, since I I haven’t seen it posted elsewhere, Vaughn was ranked #14, Crochet #36, & Kopech #37.  Nice to see Garrett getting a ranking he deserves.

They love Madrigal, that's for sure.

Jeremy Reed?  Anthony Webster?   (Okay, we'll just go with Weems.)

At least it wasn't a Phil Rogers, White Sox PR special.

And this thread should go back to being called the Corbin Bernsen/Roger Dorn (Major League) one until we can secure an actual, legitimate rumor to substantiate it...

We’re all in a group chat together. Brian and others give Dayton a hard time because they think he’s Not Cishek. It’s just a joke.

I wonder if they go with Lopez/Crochet every 5th day. Would be dumb IMO but who the hell knows anymore

If they don't sign or trade for anyone, do they have a choice?

They don't have a choice but to put Lopez in the pen IMO.  It's a coaching issue.  He needs extra attention and you can't make a zillion mound visits any more.  He also takes too damn long between pitches.  They really need to get him right before they do anything else.

Baby steps.
