So yeah, since Madrigal is so much like all these other guys then sure...

But hey, before we get ahead of ourselves, let's try beating this guy first:

Well, he definitely has the confidence. I'm a big believer in Nick, but he almost sounded a little cocky...which may not be a bad thing. Let's see what happens when the game humbles him. I don't think that's happened, like, really happened, yet.

Cocky is good for a lot of professional athletes but I don't think he sounded cocky at all in that interview.  Just saying it's doable and he believes in himself.  If he didn't that'd be a much bigger issue.

If you don't think you can do it...you probably can't.  I love his belief in himself.

No player should talk about 3,000 hits before they reach 3,000 at bats, and it's an open question at this point Nick reaches that plateau.

Between COVID and the CBA, it may take him until his age 26 season to become the All Time White Sox Hit Leader named Nick.

All Time White Sox Hit Leader Board - Players Named Nick

  1. Nicky Delmonico 114
  2. Nick Swisher 109
  3. Nick Madrigal 35

I have no issue with this. I’d rather have a guy set high expectations for himself than none at all. But there’s no way he’s getting there batting 9th.

Most of his career will be in the first or second spot IMO.  Ninth is great as he gets acclimated, however.
