Totally. Solid mid to back-end innings eater. Fine with me.

Keuchel doesn't even make LAD's or SD's rotation 🤣

It’s his first start this spring. He won’t have a 1.99 ERA again, but he is pretty good. BTW he actually has won a Cy Young.

Well at least he's engaged for 2 years, 3 if he vests.

Keuchel has nothing today.  Yikes.

Yup, it's hyperbole season.

BEST SHAPE OF HIS LIFE!

THIS VET SUCKS FOR NOT DOMINATING SPRING!

Fact is, most guys don't change much. The Cease is going to be this years version of Giolitos turnaround is probably my favorite. Giolito had a turn around that the game literally hadn't seen in 100 years, and now some people like Stone and others are saying Cease is about to do it. It's just nonsense.

Rodon looks good; he's looked good before in his life. The problem is he doesn't stay healthy, doesn't maintain it, and his arm just isn't what it used to be. The entire Carlos just didn't try hard enough theory around Soxtalk completely ignores that reality that Carlos hasn't stayed healthy and it's likely due to the way he throws (very top heavy-all arm) and the amount of wear and tear he had on his arm in college and prior throwing that way. That isn't going to be fixed by Ethan Katz. Maybe Carlos is solid - he's been solid before - but it's very likely he can't stay healthy and sustain anything.

Eloy just missed tying the game but it dies on the track.

When your starting pitcher is clearly struggling, your team leaders (and other starting players) need to execute routine plays... thus not put (unforced) undue stress upon said pitcher.

TA routinely declares himself to be amongst the best shortstops in the game. You’ll get absolutely no arguments from me, regarding the offensive side of the equation. However, until he can overcome his propensity to butcher routine throws at levels that rank amongst the highest number (by starting MLB SS, of) throwing errors, TA will continue to be a defensive liability at inopportune times. Let’s hope he has a breakthrough this season to neutralize his most challenging ongoing shortstop deficiency.

I guess guys have to get regular as we near the start of the season but kind of weird to see divisional foes pitch rotation members against each other.

That Kopech strikeout was nasty. Was that the change?

It's not overreaction to be concerned about Keuchel. He has gotten plenty of extra time off last 2 seasons yet only made thtough the 6th inning 5 times (12 starts) last season. Hear alot of people talk about he's one of the horses that will eat up innings. Don't see that this season.

He’s a 5 inning and then bullpen guy for me.
