Giolito alone = winning.

Whether Eaton’s return this year is a win or a loss is an open question until the season plays out.

It was a joke. I would hope no one actually is still wondering if the Sox “won” the Eaton for Giolito trade...

Future performance clearly favors the White Sox for the trade, but there are some here who would argue the WS title trumps other arguments. Waiting for someone to post a Tatis Jr. for Geoff Blum trade would have been worth it, because "Flags Fly Forever"! Geoff was definitely worth Ryan Meaux, the player the Sox sent to, wait for it, the San Diego Padres at the 2005 trade deadline.

People were saying the Eaton trade was worth it for Washington since they won the WS and Eaton had a good WS performance (with a 1.5 bWAR season, his best with Washington). They also said his WS performance was a good reason for Eaton's White Sox signing in December. Hope it works out, will take the season and whether he is picked up for his option to determine the net result.

Let the bashing begin

Don't know why anyone would bash him. This roster's likely gonna need a 6th and 7th, and possibly an 8th SP; most teams do. Dunning ain't here any more, and this is what this roster is, for better or worse.

Not even Katz could help him.

Let's pump the brakes on deeming Katz a miracle worker for just a minute. Katz couldn't "fix" Fulmer, and the results remain to be seen with Cease.

Ugh, why didn't they sign another SP this offseason? The bullpen looks like it'll be NAILS, even without seeing much of Hendriks so far.

Yeah, none of that matters. The Sox were entering a rebuild and Adam Eaton, an “above-average” outfielder, was traded for what turned out to be one of the Cy Young favorites of 2021 who’s 26 years olds.

I don’t really care what Eaton did in Washington. The Sox, or any team does that trade every day of the week, twice on Sundays.

Coop could have accomplished the same thing...almost nothing.

Fulmer? When did Katz work with Fulmer?

Agree don’t remember Katz working with fulmer, but it doesn’t matter because no pitching coach can fix him anyway. Fulmer is an albatross cat getting 9 lives because he has some great spin rate. Who cares if you can’t throw a strike.

I don't like to complain but not getting Q was ridiculous. Major fopah.

Could never figure Lopez out. Seemed to have the potential to be at least a consistent starting pitcher. Don't feel like bashing him. He was  frustrating to watch more than anyone else. Perhaps he can catch on with someone else and figure it out. But it is not happening right now.
