Dallas Keuchel is awful(Shields bad) and people are lamenting his contract by June 15th.  Sox continue to throw him out there to get lit up because dollars.

Rodon finally shows why he was the 3rd pick in the draft, just in time to go get paid elsewhere.

These look pretty good so far.

Agreed. Shields had negative fWAR except for his final season, and missed close to a half season. Keuchel dropped off from last year but still positive at 0.2.

I thought Keuchel was overpayed and didn’t (still don’t) want him to vest in 2023, but he is giving the team by and large what was expected. 5+ innings, 2-3 runs per outing.

Even a 4.5 ERA is valuable in this year with limitations on Kopech, Crochet. Cease and Rodon also need to carefully navigate this full year based on previous innings pitched and Rodon’s injury history.

Keuchel gives up a lot of grounders and doesn't give up a lot of HR which is what is keeping him from being Shields bad. He's getting knocked around a lot though, they're just singles and doubles rather than HRs. The difference between a flyball pitcher and a groundball pitcher.

So he isn't Shields bad

I'm going to go the other way, and say that Dunning establishes himself as a solid mid to back end starter and makes everyone wish they didn't trade him, while Lynn disappoints and goes back to the guy he always was before his brief performance uptick.

Dallas Keuchel is awful(Shields bad) and people are lamenting his contract by June 15th.  Sox continue to throw him out there to get lit up because dollars, and it ends up costing them a playoff spot.

Rodon finally shows why he was the 3rd pick in the draft, just in time to go get paid elsewhere.

Cease shows signs of improvement. Better K%, fewer walks but ERA/FIP around 4.00.

Kopech and Crochet don't get enough innings out of the bullpen to get stretched out next year, making them both pretty much career relievers.

I did pretty well here.

Especially about Keuchel and Rodon

Vaughn leads the Sox in walks - He finished 4th

Moncada leads the Sox in all 3 triple crown categories - 5th in HR, T-3rd in RBI, technically 2nd in AVG since so few guys qualified

Twins finish in 3rd place - I didn't aim low enough

Cubs finish in 4th place - Bingo

At least one of Bryant, Rizzo, Baez, Pederson, and Arrieta finish the season on the Sox - ended up with 2 Cubs but none that I named

Madrigal wins the AL batting title rather easily.

Eloy homers in his first game back, only to go back on the IL that same day.

Dunning outperforms Lynn.

Eaton outperforms Springer.

Nailed it

You came close with Eloy actually.  Didn't go on the IL but missed some time.  Homered in the second game.

Madrigal might've won the batting title if not for the injury the way he was hitting when injured . His last 75 AB's he hit like .355 .

Madrigal's .305 is  not that far off from the .319 Gurriel hit and won the batting title with .  He can win one in the future if he stays healthy.

Adam Engel leads the team in CF appearances

This could have been true had Engel stayed healthy himself.
