How the f*** is that an advantage?

I wish I heard the whole interview. It had something to do with the new rules. Is there different rules for someone starting an inning and how many hitters they need to face? I haven't really paid attention to the rule.

Remembering Evan Marshall

I get it. This is a reference to Judd Apatow's 2008 comedic hit "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", starring Jason Segel, Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Russell Brand.

This must be one of those things he wants to change with how managers do things these days.  He really is an egomaniac.

From the interview it sounded like Katz brought it up.

No. The difference is only at the end of an inning, if a guy ends an inning then you can replace him regardless of the number of batters faced.

Someone said the only possible way it would matter is you could use a lefty specialist against 2 straight lefties, but the white Sox don’t have a lefty specialist and there weren’t 2 lefties coming up and the pitcher who came in was a righty.
